Sara and Tanner's Barn Wedding at Oakdale - Ashland, Virginia
Sara & Tanner's wedding was the first wedding I ever photographed at Oakdale wedding venue in Ashland, Virginia. It is a beautiful venue with plenty of natural light, which makes for amazing wedding day photos.
The day started off with Sara and her bridesmaid getting ready for her big wedding day. She was so excited to marry the love of her life that she couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. When you see how happy these two are together, it's easy to understand why they were the perfect match for each other!
While Sara was getting ready tanner was also doing the same thing. With the help of his mom, dad, and groomsmen he got dressed in his wedding suite. My favorite detail was having initials on the cuff of his sleeve.
Sara and her father decided to do a first look and he was to stunned to speak.
Instead of doing a first look Sara and tanner opted to write each other letters for them to read privately before the wedding ceremony. I would be lying if I said they both didn't shed a few tears. This is one of my favorite moments from their wedding day. You could definitely feel the love in the air.
Sara and Tanner had their wedding ceremony outside near the small pond just outside the Oakdale Barn. To give the day their own personal touch Sara’s uncle was given the honor to be the wedding officiant.
After their wedding ceremony it was time for dances, cake, and an ice cream trucks!
After the dances and the yummy desserts Sara and Tanner snuck away for a short golden hour photoshoot!
